In Art class, fourth graders learned the difference between shape (2-D) and form (3-D) while creating these papier mache pets. Students could choose between a cat or a dog and they could decorate their pet to look realistic or abstract. Nice work artists!

These clay cupcakes were created by 3rd graders. And yes, they even used real sprinkles! After students created these clay cupcakes, they had to create an advertisement as if they were trying to sell their cupcake! The students surprised me by how excited they were to create an advertisement. They couldn't wait to get to that part of the project. It was neat to make the connection of advertising as a real life career that involves art!

In Art class, first graders studied Antarctica and learned facts about the Emperor penguins that live there. They also learned the difference between geometric and free-form shapes. First graders really practiced their cutting and gluing skills while creating these adorable penguins!
